C2E2 2014 is over and man that was fun. I (matt) was only there Friday and Saturday, but I still got to meet loads of great people & share our book with lots of new people.
A handful of people were repeat customers, even…it’s great to know that people have enjoyed our books, remembered them and then made sure to find us again to see what happens next. As indie comic makers, little else is as satisfying as that.
Modern Tales of the Future will be available in the next few weeks at Graham Crackers around the Chicagoland area, if all goes well. Otherwise, contact us in any way you can & we’ll get you some books one way or another if you’re interested. Our BUY links are down at the moment on this site, but once we’ve sorted that nonsense out, you should be able to order our books again directly from IndyPlanet.
Thanks to everyone who came out & made this con awesome!!
Here’s an unlettered preview page from “Another Day Older,” written by David Canario & illustrated by Jason Swearingen…the third chapter of this ongoing scifi thriller is available in “Modern Tales of the Future #3,” which we’re debuting this weekend at C2E2. Come to booth #110 for a copy!
Take a gander at an eyeful of “The Blood Miracle,” written by Philip Bertulfo & David Luzeniecki, illustrated by Crow, one of the three stories in Modern Tales of the Future #3, available at C2E2 this weekend (Booth #110)!
Dread Arts Company will be at C2E2 next weekend (Apr25-27) with brand-spankin’ new copies of Modern Tales of the Future #3 for sale (and back issues, too). Come say hello & pick up a copy to see more of the above-pictured scientist lay waste to the vermin in her apartment building in one of the three stories featured in this issue, “Rick Moranis Don’t Want Me For a Sunbeam."
Here’s the cover to our forthcoming “Modern Tales of the Future #3,” illustrated by me (Matt Collander) with help from our contributor Crow…great issue this time out with lots of scifi craziness…death cults, sentient blood, a shrunken scientist on a murderous rampage…lots to soak in, from an awesome handful of writers and illustrators! We’ll have this issue for sale at C2E2, available at local Chicago comic stores and via Indyplanet shortly thereafter.
For your bafflement, a context-free panel preview of “…Stays in Vegas,” (David Canario writer, Matt Collander artist) from our upcoming Exquisite Corpse Collection #3, debuting at Chicago’s Wizard World, Aug 2013.
Great C2E2 weekend! Put lots of books in a lot of hands and we’re excited to hear what people think about our latest stuff (which you can BUY HERE). Couldn’t have pulled it off without some big help from Betsy Canario and Philip Bertulfo (who wrote a 6 page story in our new Modern Tales of the Future #2), both champs at manning a booth. David Luzeniecki (wrote a story in MTotF2) was unavailable, due to baby-having and Erica Smith (wrote AND illustrated a big story in MTotF2) lives in a far, far away land from which she sends us wonderful comics to print.
Lots of amazing cosplayers walked by our booth this weekend and we only got pics of a few of them…amazing Oracle, Damian Wayne, old school Hawk Guy, Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Will, Marko, Jughead…
